Ares Virus is an RPG where you take part from a birds' eye view (aka zenithal perspective). It's up to you to take on the life of a special forces soldier in charge of fighting a raging virus that's turning the whole world into zombies. Your sole mission: staying alive -- and, if possible, team up with as many other survivors as you can along the way.
Command buttons in Ares Virus are simple and intuitive. On the left side of the screen there's a virtual joystick, and on the right side there are a set of other buttons to attack, reload, run, open up your inventory and switch between your weapons. When there's an item on the screen that you can grab or interact with, you'll see a pop-up button that allows you to choose from a set of options to make good use of whatever it is you just found.
Unsurprisingly, during the first minutes of the game, Ares Virus jumps right into action. But the fact is, this game is eventually much more geared towards survival and decision making, to the point where the actions you choose can completely alter the way your adventure ends. Keep in mind that even just reaching the end will require you satisfy your basic necessities of life by collecting resources, manufacturing weapons, cooking food and much more.
Ares Virus is an exceptional survival RPG, with a unique graphic layout and a rich and absorbing narrative. All in all, we're looking at an engrossing title that has nothing to envy from other genre giants, be it on Android, consoles for PCs.
